Join the Dots

CONCEPT
Join the Dots is a cross-cultural art exchange project that brings children, visual artists and performers in Japan and Australia together. The project shows us the power of creative play to create meaningful exchanges that transcend language and culture – we may not speak each other’s language, or be in the same country, but we can collaborate, communicate and create art. Join the Dots is inspired by manga and traditional Japanese iconography.

My role, along with my renowned co artist, Takahashi was to interact with the kids by making drawings on a tablet that were projected onto the big screen. Who could ask for a better job, drawing all day with an amazing team, both in Sydney, Australia and Ota City Japan. Thank you for hosting us in such style.

At my station learning how to use the drawing tools next to Nobumasa Takahashi.
