The Secret Story offers a mischevous retelling of the infamous Australian bushranger, Ned Kelly, to reveal a concealed family secret. Inspired by Peter Carey’s novel, True History of the Kelly Gang and personal histories, the overlooked matriarch Ellen Kelly, a reoccurring feature in Stockdale’s cloister of hybrid characters is the whispering narrator who delivers old news to her dead son.
